All of our lampshades are handmade from 100% natural ingredients, and are safe for the environment and for us humans. Check them out at our shop!
Original Collection
Our original unlimited collection is made of raw materials that are most abundant to us: orange peel and pine needles. Did you know that the global juice industry produces around 24 million tons of orange peel every year? It takes around 20 squeezed oranges to create one lampshade. In other words, each lampshade is the by-product of someone drinking two litres of orange juice.
Our pine needle lampshades are made of the fallen needles of discarded Christmas trees. An estimated 350 million Christmas trees are purchased worldwide every year, and an average sized tree drops enough needles to create around 12 lampshades.
Our lampshades are also available as a wall version with a wall mount made of natural or stained oak.
Limited Collections
These collections are made from a range of materials that we explored while escaping the coronavirus in the Finnish countryside.
Garden Collection
Our Garden Collection is made from the leftover stems and leaves of our very own vegetable garden. It took about one large zucchini plant to create one lampshade.
Food Waste Collection
This collection is made from all the fruit and vegetable peels, egg shells, spent yerba and other types of unavoidable food waste that we generated during two months of social distancing in the countryside.
Fall Collection
This collection is made from Autumn's fallen leaves.
Forest Collection
This collection is made of other raw materials that reflect life at the cottage.
We make lampshades from any type of biowaste that we can get a hold of and are always interested to hear about new opportunities. If you have custom enquiries about our work, please do get in touch.
